I built fences once.
Thought the world
needed dividing.

Then life kept teaching
what no boundary can solve:
fear travels through wire,
but so does longing.

Nobody needs fences
around the heart.
Only honesty.
Only room.
Only a gate that knows
when to open
and when to stand.

We are safer in truth
than in walls.
